Garfield

Created by Jim Davis and originally published locally as Jon in 1976, it was following national syndication as "Garfield" that the series really caught on, to become a Guinness World Record holder as the world's most widely syndicated comic strip.

The cartoon strips tell of the adventures of Garfield the cat, his human owner Jon Arbuckle, and Odie the dog.

Today there have been computer animated, live action films proving that even a lazy, fat, and cynical orange tabby can become a star.
