Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons, now celebrating it's 50th Anniversary is a structured, yet open-ended fantasy role-playing game. Usually played in a social setting with the players seated around a tabletop. One player takes on the role of Dungeon Master (DM) while the others control their character(s) taking on an adventure in a fictional setting.

Originally created and designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson it was first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. (TSR). Since 1997 it has been published by Wizards of the Coast, later a subsidiary of Hasbro.

Now in it's 50th year the game remains as popular as ever.
